It is very important for all of our dancers to adhere to a common dress code. The significance for this cannot be understated! And you may be thinking, "Why does she have to have a bun, tights, or leotard?" The answer to these types of questions is simple: for the safety of our dancers. A bun helps protect them from either stepping on their hair, interfering with their vision during dance, or even having another dancer step on their hair. Tights help protect their legs from the dance floor when they warm up and learn floor work. Finally, a leotard unifies our dancers and makes for a cohesive dance unit which is very important when preparing for the recital.
